After graduating from Mercer University School of Law, Jeff began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Houston Judicial Circuit. During his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, Jeff was responsible for prosecuting all types of crimes, ranging from shoplifting to homicide. In May 2002, Jeff was appointed to Houston County’s “Narcotics and Organized Crime” litigation team, where he gained valuable experience handling drug crimes ranging from simple possession to trafficking.
After serving as an Assistant District Attorney, Jeff took his litigation experience to a large insurance defense firm where he defended some of Georgia’s largest employers and insurance companies, including Coca-Cola Enterprises, Shaw Industries, Mohawk Industries, Morrison Homes, Gallagher Bassett Services, and Sedgwick Claims Services. The majority of Jeff’s practice focused the defense of workers’ compensation claims filed by injured employees. Jeff has handled nearly every type of workers’ compensation claim: from repetitive stress injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, to catastrophic brain injuries.
Jeff joined White Choate & Watkins in June 2007, and he has a passionate desire to put his experience to work for the people of Northwest Georgia. |
